When in New York I've been to the Daphne Guinness Exhibition at The Fashion Institute of Technology on 7th Av... Truly a Sensational Experience... xoxoxo

A New York sono andata a vedere la mostra di Daphne Guinness al Fashion Institute of Technology... Vi giuro un'esperienza sensazionale... xoxoxoxo

Unfortunately it was forbidden to take photos, so I bought the book to take these photos for you...I have to say that I've always looked at her as an eccentric fashion icon and did not like her extreme style, but after seeing this Exhibit I TOTALLY changed my mind about her...everything in her closet reflects her knowledge of and respect for the Art of Fashion...she is most of all a couture lover and also the fact that the exhibition is in this place (for free) shows that it is done for the benefit of the students @Fit and for people who share this love...if you love fashion and you are in NYC you really (believe me) can't miss it...my husband came with me and he was speechless too ( and he doesn't care at all of fashion... ) It was really a unique experience and she now has my respect and admiration...xoxo

Purtroppo non era consentito scattare foto e avevo la guardia alle calcagna, per cui ho comprato il libro e da li' ho scattato queste foto...in mostra c'erano i pezzi migliori del suo guardaroba, capi unici di Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Givenchy, Rick Owens e altri...devo confessarvi che prima d'ora Daphne Guinness non mi era mai piaciuta...la trovavo eccentrica per puro esibizionismo, tanto per stupire e far parlare di se'...invece mi sono completamente sbagliata...quello che si capisce guardando quei vestiti e' un'ammirazione sconfinata per il talento e la creatività di quegli stilisti, un'amore folle per la moda intesa come arte, ed una profonda conoscenza di quel mondo...anche il fatto che la mostra è al Fit ( e gratis...), che sarebbe l'Università del Design e della Moda, testimonia che questa mostra è stata fatta per dare la possibilità ai giovani che studiano lì di toccare con mano le opere d'arte dei loro idoli...mio marito è venuto controvoglia ( si sarebbe fatto sparare... ) ed è rimasto pure lui senza parole...E' stata davvero un'esperienza unica e Daphne Guinness ha da oggi tutto il mio rispetto ed ammirazione...xoxo
