This year is the 100 Year's Anniversary of the Maison Vionnet, an Historic & Exquisite Brand, that was founded in 1912 and relaunched in 2009 by a team of Italian Entrapreneurs in the Fashion Business...Madame Vionnet was really a visionary, she introduced the bias cut to create a flattering, body-skimming look that revolutionized women's clothing, inspired by the Greek Art she released women from corsets to show, with her innovative technique, the natural shape of their body... She fought for copyright laws in fashion and for revolutionary labor practices at the time: paid holidays, maternity leave, a dining-hall, a resident doctor and a dentist!!!!! She had also launched her own fragrance, light years before marketing managers even think about the association of Fashion & Perfumes... Today, after the excellent Creative Direction of Rodolfo Paglialunga, Barbara and Lucia Croce ( I've previously posted about it HERE ) are at the helm of this gorgeous Brand, giving a second life to Madame Vionnet's unique cuts in a modern way... this smart quote is just a small tribute to a Century of Style... xoxo

Quest'anno ricorre il centenario della Maison Vionnet, Brand storico, che da pochi anni e' stato rilevato da imprenditori italiani con l'intento di riportarlo agli antichi splendori...Madeleine Vionnet è stata un'innovatrice in tutti i campi, la cosa per cui è più' nota e' l'invenzione del taglio in sbieco, ispirata dai pepli delle statue greche ha liberato le donne da angusti corsetti e ne ha valorizzato le curve con abiti fluidi e drappeggiati, ma era davvero una precorritrice dei tempi, le sue sarte avevano addirittura il congedo per maternità, un asilo interno ed una sorta di sindacato...e la Signora, anni luce prima che geni del marketing abbinassero fragranze e moda, aveva anche creato un Suo profumo, con un packaging attualissimo ancora oggi...a me Vionnet e' sempre piaciuto ed oggi, dopo la Direzione Creativa eccellente di Rodolfo Paglialunga, che ha reinterpretato lo sbieco in chiave moderna, al timone ci sono due grandi donne, Barbara e Lucia Croce, che hanno debuttato con una Collezione Pre-Fall strepitosa ( ve ne avevo già' parlato QUI ) ed una sfilata Autunno-Inverno incredibile...Questa frase che ho trovato e' davvero l'incarnazione del Vionnet-Pensiero e mi sembra un gradevole omaggio ad un Secolo di Stile... xoxo
